I.Operator pairsSingle fiber tensile propertiesImpact
The operator's operating method is a matter of habit, and poor experimental habits are the key factor causing systematic errors in test results. Throughout the entire experimental process, the operator should strictly follow the testing standards to avoid the fiber being affected by external forces and moisture regain.
1.Laboratory samples should be representative. Samples for short fiber tensile testing must be collected strictly according to the multi-point method inGB/T14334-2006"Sampling Method for Short Fibers of Chemical Fibers". The obtained samples should be placed side by side on a velvet board and clamped in a specific order, avoiding personal preference as much as possible.
2.When clamping the optical fiber with the tension clamp, clamp it as lightly as possible, then hold it in your palm,to avoid preventingthe optical fiber from being subjected to force as it swings with the tension clamp, which causes strength loss.
3.Keep hands as clean and dry as possible. Excessive sweating on hands may cause the fiber to absorb moisture, altering its properties.
4.Before clamping the optical fiber, fiber residue and impurities in the upper and lower clamps must be cleaned. Blowing with the mouth is strictly prohibited, as it increases the local temperature and humidity inside the clamp, affecting the fiber's tensile performance. Similarly, avoid breathing in front of the fiber at all times during the experiment.
5.During the wet drawing test, the liquid and soaking time must also strictly followGB/T14337-2008"Test Method for Tensile Properties of Chemical Short Fibersto be executed.

II.Several aspects should be noted when testing single fiber strength:
1.The temperature and humidity of the laboratory environment should be controlled according to standards, especially for highly hygroscopic fibers such as viscose fibers.
2.Select a tensile tester with high sensitivity, high precision, good accuracy, and the ability to effectively grip the optical fiber.
3.The set value of the pre-tension and the specifications of the actual tension clamp must meet one of the following three conditions to obtain correct tensile test results:
A.The set value and the actual tension clamp specifications comply with the standard;
b .The set value meets the standard, and the actual tension clamp specification is lower than the standard;
The set value is lower than the standard, and the actual tension clamp specification meets the standard.设定值小于标准,实际张力夹规格符合标准。
4.The higher the tensile speed, the higher the measured strength, and the elongation will also change accordingly. During the operation, the strength should be controlledThe downward speed of the clamp below the force gauge is adjusted to maintain a constant tensile fracture speed.
5.Throughout the entire experiment, the experimenters should strictly follow the testing standards and avoid exposing the fibers to external forces and moisture regain as much as possible.
