I. Precautions
1. The sensor screw and support adjustment top line on the measuring arm must not be rotated arbitrarily. These two parts are the adjustment components for the pressure output reference of the sensor bridge, and the instrument has undergone strict inspection and calibration at the factory, requiring no further verification. If the instrument indeed needs calibration after a period of use, a standard force arm and weights can be used for force value detection. During inspection, be careful not to touch the probe with force.
2. The position of the balance thimble behind the upper measuring arm cannot be changed. Changing the position of the balance thimble will disrupt the balance of the measuring arm system and directly affect the measurement accuracy of the instrument.
3. Pay attention to protecting the components of the measuring arm. Do not press or lift the measuring arm with your hands, otherwise the sensor will be damaged.
4. If the measuring arm of the instrument is not in the predetermined actual working position (highest or lowest position), it can be adjusted according to the following mode: press the test key to move the measuring arm. When the measuring arm runs to the predetermined position, press the pause key, and then press the test key again. After one action cycle, the measuring arm will automatically stop at the predetermined position.
II. Maintenance
1. Operators must read the manual of the softness tester, strictly abide by its operating procedures and precautions, and non-professional personnel are not allowed to operate or adjust the instrument at will.
2. Keep the interior of the instrument clean regularly to prevent dust and moisture from entering the machine.
3. When the instrument is not in use, it should be covered and equipped with a desiccant to prevent electronic components from being damaged by moisture. It should be preheated to remove moisture periodically.
4. If the instrument malfunctions, please have a maintenance technician inspect and handle it. Do not operate it while it is faulty.
5. The spindle bearing should be lubricated with oil intermittently, but be careful not to overdo it. Generally, only one drop of watch oil should be added at a time.
6. Do not touch the probe forcefully.
7. After using the instrument, put the cover on.
