The product features of the softness tester include motor control for precise and stable probe movement, excellent repeatability of results, and a high-precision force sensor that ensures testing accuracy within an error of ±1%. It offers fully automatic testing with data statistical processing functions, automatic memory and display of test results, and more. Let us introduce the softness tester and how to test leather.

I. Product Features of the Softness Tester
1. Equipped with a high-precision force sensor, ensuring the test accuracy error is within ±1%, which is superior to the ±3% specified by the standard.
2. Controlled by a stepper motor, the movement of the measuring head is precise and stable, providing excellent repeatability of measurement results.
3. Features a Chinese LCD display and a user-friendly human-machine interface for fully automatic testing. It includes test data statistical processing functions and a miniature printer for output. Test results are automatically recorded and displayed, reducing human error and ensuring stable and accurate results, while being easy to operate.
4. The instrument is equipped with dedicated calibration weights and levers for easy metrological calibration.
II. Softness Tester Leather Test
1. Specimen preparation:
Select undamaged leather material specimens
2. A calibration disk must be used to zero the dial. Press the handle down lightly while pulling the upper arm outward to release the button, allowing the upper arm to spring up.
3. Place the zero-calibration circular plate on the test base, press the handle down until the upper arm is locked and a click is heard, then release it. At this moment, the dial pointer should indicate the "0" position. If not, rotate the dial to align the pointer with the "0" position.
4. Begin the test
After the upper arm pops up, remove the zero-calibration circular plate and place the test leather on the test base. First, press the handle down to retract the probe completely upwards, then press down until the leather is gripped by the clamp and the upper arm is locked. Release the handle only when a click is heard. At this moment, the dial pointer will indicate the softness index of the leather. Release the upper arm and remove the test specimen.
