I. How to Use the Tension Meter
Before Operation:
1. Before testing, ensure the main unit is preheated for at least 30 minutes, i.e., turn on the main unit 30 minutes before the formal test, and use it only after the measurement system has stabilized.
2. Before use, hang the included hook and platinum ring on the hook, and press the "Tare" button to zero it.
3. Ensure the platinum ring and glass plate are clean before each test.
During operation:
1. Clamp the clean platinum plate.
Burn the platinum plate with the alcohol lamp. Generally, it is burned at a 45-degree angle to the horizontal surface until the platinum plate turns red. The time required is 20-30 seconds. Hang the platinum plate and cover the alcohol lamp.
2. Hang the burned platinum plate on the hook and press the "Tare" button to display zero.
3. Add the measurement liquid into the sample tray and place the sample to be measured on the sample stage.

6. Carefully remove the container holding the sample and place it into the sample to be tested. Gently place the used container into the washing basin and rinse it thoroughly with running water. Place the cleaned apparatus into a dry oven.
7. Hold the platinum plate with tweezers and rinse it with running water.
When washing, ensure to maintain a certain angle with the water stream.
II. Precautions for the Tensiometer
1. When placing the sample, you must visually check the hanging height of the platinum plate.
2. When taking readings, operate twice, taking a reading for five minutes each time. Then add the three values to get the average, which is the evaluated value of the sample.
3. If there is residue, wash it by hand using a small amount of laundry detergent and clean it gently.
4. Try to let the water flow clean the surface of the plate, and do not let the water flow deform the plate.
