Protective material puncture, cut, and slash resistance and quasi-static penetration performance tester
There has been extensive research on protective materials resistant to puncture, cutting, and slashing, but the corresponding testing tools have not kept pace with the research on new materials. Currently, free-falling hammer bodies are only used to test the puncture resistance of protective materials, and very few studies have been conducted on testing their cut and slash resistance. Based on this background, this equipment covers both the quasi-static penetration measurement and free-fall measurement of traditional devices, adopting a swinging measurement method. It effectively controls the energy and penetration trajectory at the point of penetration, precisely controlling the penetration point of the protective material. Meanwhile, the device simulates human skin, measuring the force value at the penetration point and the force value after buffering through artificial skin, evaluating the puncture resistance of the material from the perspective of force value. The equipment can also measure the velocity at the penetration point, thereby allowing for a more accurate calculation of the energy value at the penetration point. Furthermore, the device enables the measurement of the cut and slash resistance of protective materials, helping researchers comprehensively evaluate the overall protective performance of the materials.
